Accommodation offer
The University of West Bohemia is prepared to provide war refugees from Ukraine with room and board.
The university has the available capacity to put up 150 people in its Nečtiny Training and Accommodation Facility and an additional 60 people in its student dormitories in Pilsen.
All refugees must first go through registration at the Regional Assistance Center for Ukraine, where they can also report interest in accommodation on the UWB premises.
Regional assistance center for Ukraine
It is the duty of every foreigner to register with the Residence Administration Unit of Alien Police Department within three days of arrival in the country.
In Pilsen, the Regional Assistance Center for Ukraine was established for refugees, which provides them with a complete service from the provision of documents, health insurance, humanitarian aid to the coordination of accommodation and psychosocial assistance. The IRS units (the Fire and Rescue Service of the Pilsen Region, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Municipal Police and the Medical Rescue Service of the Pilsen Region), the City of Pilsen, non-profit organizations and representatives of the General Health Insurance Company will cooperate with the Pilsen Region.
Czech courses
Ukrainians interested in studying Czech language may take advantage of the University's offer of free Czech language courses in both online and in-person format.
During the ongoing admissions procedure, students can submit an application for a study program in Czech language of their choice, which they can enroll in next academic year.
Charitable initiatives
The University also appeals to everyone who wants to help Ukraine to join one of the ongoing fundraising or other charitable initiatives.
