The EUPeace Alliance is seeking members for the newly established Research Hubs. To apply for inclusion in this EUPeace Research Partnership, please email vyzkum@rek.zcu.cz

  • Inclusive Health & Well-Being
    • The Hub is open to all academics whose research focuses on the societal aspects of this topic - whether in the social sciences or in assistive technologies.
  • The Migration Hub
    • The research partnership will look at diaspora dynamics and the links between migration and climate change, history, conflict and economic inequality. All research activities and policy recommendations will be based on a human rights perspective and will be in line with EUPeace's core values.

The University of Marburg is looking for lecturers for its summer seminars in 2025. The four-week Hessen International Summer University, which runs from 28 July to 22 August, will focus on Germany and Europe in a Turbulent World - History, Politics, Society and Culture. Please send CVs and outlines of your proposed seminar content to isu@uni-marburg.de.

The organisers are looking for staff who would be willing to teach these topics:

  • the history of European integration (from 1945 to present)
  • the emergence of the EU (and its predecessor)
  • the EU as foreign and/or security policy actor (before or after 1990, or in the wider transatlantic and global context)
  • the role of Germany in and for the dynamics of European Integration
  • European memory culture (beyond national boundaries)
  • Challenges for justice and inclusion in Europe 
  • Migration

 

The EUPeace Fund regularly supports research activities of member universities. Four UWB researchers and their projects were funded in Spring 2024 call:

  • Mgr. Jana Čepičková - Language Centres of the Alliance: Interculturality, Language, Networking, and Engaging Staff
  • Mgr. Petr Šimon - COILING Inclusion: Towards LGBTQIA+ Intersectional Teaching at European Universities
  • RNDr. Václav Stacke, Ph.D. - Storytelling for Inclusive Education
  • Mgr. Vojtěch Kaše, Ph.D. - EuPaC: Unveiling European Past with Code - a transdisciplinary hackathon

 

Students have the opportunity to participate in studies at Philipps-Universität Marburg through the MarburgOnline: VirtualExchange - MO:VE program.
