Preparatory language courses
The Institute of Applied Language Studies offers one-year preparatory courses in Czech language for foreigners, especially students interested in enrolling in the University of West Bohemia, or any other Czech university.
The University of West Bohemia requires a minimum level of B1 on the CEFR for studying in Czech. Studies in the Czech language at any state university in the Czech Republic are free of charge. Beginners will achieve B1 level after successfully completing the one-year course.
Foreign students who intend to study at the University of West Bohemia can take preparatory English courses. First you will improve your ESP skills with the help of some newly developed textbooks; then you will proceed using the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) method.
